2D Cafe Yeonnam-Dong 223-14 Seoul
If you ever wanted to feel like you are in a cartoon or comic book or if you just like exploring interesting spaces - then this is a cafe you most definitely must visit when in Seoul.
This black and white instagrammable cafe located in Seoul was inspired by a Korean TV show known as W where characters clash between the real world and a fantasy world inside a webtoon. It uses black contour lines on white furniture and walls to create the 2D aesthetic look and the comic book feel.

Cafe Yeonnam-Dong 223-14 that opened in late November 2018 (Cafe 연남동 223-14) is an upgrade to the Cafe Yeonnam-dong 239-20 (Cafe 연남동 239-20) which was our initial destination until we were told a brand new and bigger cafe has opened just a short walk away.
The cafe is located around 15 minute walk away from Hongik University station (Exit 3).
There were only two other people there before us and everything looked brand new and fresh!
Tip: Apparently there is a rooftop area with a nice view on the neighbourhood that we have missed out on. So make sure to check that one out as well!
The cafe is offering a variety of tees, coffees, cakes, muffins and of course matcha lattes.
As it was opening day, we were treated to free (what I believe were) rice cakes that were absolutely delicious and they made for great snacks when visiting Ihwa Mural Village later in the day (blog post coming soon).
Tip: Visiting themed cafes is a big deal in Seoul. Make sure to be there at the opening time as less than an hour after our arrival the place was absolutely packed!
This place is a must visit for anyone who loves instagrammable places, cartoons or is a fan of interior design.

I believe that the old location (which only had a capacity of 2 indoor tables and a few outdoor tables) has now been closed.
Tip: Toilets are decorated in white and yellow/gold.
